    Martha Marie “Granny” Dennison, 90, of Elizabethtown, died Friday, June 6, 2008. The funeral is at 11 a.m. today at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with burial in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation continues at 10 a.m. today at the funeral home.

    Mary E. Miles, 92, of Louisville, died Thursday, June 5, 2008. The funeral Mass is at 10 a.m. today at Incarnation Catholic Church with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, Louisville, is in charge of arrangements.

  • HCS begins work on tornado-damaged school buildings

    HARDIN COUNTY — Now that school is out of session, Hardin County Schools will get plenty of work done on buildings and facilities damaged by February's tornado.

    Several repair projects have been completed since HCS’s buildings sustained damage from a tornado that swept through the county, while others are about to begin.
